Liberals certainly like to smear conservatives, especially those with a lot of clout. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and Glenn Beck receive the brunt of liberal criticism because these men have huge audiences liberals feel are being indoctrinated and brainwashed by these proclaimed right wing extremists. Another favorite target of the liberal think tank and propaganda machine are female and minority conservatives. The reason for this is obvious. They are viewed as traitors since a majority of women and minorities side with progressive views. However, these beliefs are misguided for any number of reasons outlined below.
Conservative women are considered evil because they do not agree with feminist views, most notably the right for women to have an abortion. Feminist are mostly concerned with obtaining more power and rights for females, whereas, conservative women are more interested in obtaining more rights for their kids, family, and neighbors. For this reason, feminists are more likely to have huge egos and a narcissistic personality. Case in point, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is a classic example of a narcissistic feminist. The question then is why is it considered evil for women to put family and children above their own needs? Why unselfish and nurturing behavior is deemed and perceived as evil by feminists and the liberal media is a mystery.
Michelle Bachman, the Minnesota congresswoman, and Sarah Palin, the ex-Alaska Governor, are routinely at the receiving end of slanderous attacks from both feminists and the media. Bachman has raised 5 children and fostered 23 others. Sarah Palin has also raised 5 children, including one that she knew would be born with downs syndrome. Bachman and Palin are no strangers to hard work. Bachman worked on her family farm and Palin hunts and fishes to feed her family. Meanwhile, Pelosi was raised by a privileged family and never understood the meaning of hard work. Most everything Pelosi earned during her life was handed to her. Pelosi also raised 5 children, but never faced the adversity that Bachman and Palin encountered. Therefore, Pelosi’s career was focused solely on her success and the feminist movement. On the other hand, Bachman and Palin did not have the time to worry about their individual needs and wants, but only had the time to worry about the wellbeing of their kids and family. And what angers the left the most, Bachman and Palin are able to juggle both family and work.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, leading economist Thomas Sowell, Republican National Committee head Michael Steele, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and former Ohio gubernatorial candidate, Ken Blackwell are all African-Americans that dare to be conservative. Not only are they the target of progressive smears, but racial attacks. They are called “Uncle Toms”, a phase used to classify slaves who did what their owners (masters) ordered. Liberal African-Americans do not consider these great leaders as members of their ethnicity, but as wannabe whites. No, this is far from the truth. These society leaders can think and act for themselves. In fact, they are extremely brave individuals that are breaking down racial barriers in an effort to show minorities that conservatives are not the enemy. In truth, conservatives are their allies. Conservatives want to free all poverty stricken individuals from government dependence so they can flee the integration of inner cities. Most minorities and economically challenged Caucasians have yet to figure out that Democrats want to keep them oppressed and dependent on government handouts.
When liberals preach diversity, they are most certainly not talking about diversity amongst political ideologies. This is the hypocrisy of the progressive movement. They claim to transcend race, but in reality they are creating racial barriers and increasing tensions within the African-American community with their slanderous attacks. Liberals indoctrinate minorities and brainwash them into following a very narrow and shallow belief system. In other words, they are no longer to think outside of the box to get a new perspective and diverse viewpoint when considering problems and issues. The Democratic goal is to achieve a monopoly on minority membership (which they have pretty much successfully done). This is why defecting minorities to conservatism are popular targets of the left smear machine. After all, these defecting minorities may be able to influence others minorities to be conservatives. So the left must protect its base and monopoly on minorities at all cost. Indian Americans Bobby Jindal, the Louisiana Governor and Nikki Haley, the next South Carolina Governor are also targets of the left’s smear campaign. So progressive attacks are not limited to African-Americans or females, it includes all minorities. The liberal mantra is simple: If you agree with me great, if you do not agree with me then we must destroy you, especially if you are a minority or female.
