Beware of the Right Wing Extremist

Last year, a Homeland Security report warned local law enforcement to be on the look out for a rise in violence from rightwing extremist groups. The reason for the warning is that there are many people angry at the government. In particular, the timing of the report hinted that many citizens were angry that we have a black president. It did not take long for the liberal media to get hold of this report and blast any form of violence as being from rightwing extremists.

When Richard Poplawski killed 3 police officers in Pittsburgh last year, the liberal media feasted on this disaster calling it the work of a rightwing NRA gun nut. When Maurice Clemmons killed four police officers in Seattle last year, the media too called this the work of a rightwing extremist. They also had the added benefit to blame this disaster on former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee, who gave Clemmons clemency, which enabled him to be freed early from prison for a prior offense. The murder of a Kansas abortion doctor by Scott Roeder was not bad enough, but this tragedy was one of the media’s most politicized acts of violence last year. Earlier this year, the press had a field day when Joseph Stack flew his small aircraft into the Austin Texas IRS building. Obviously, Stack must have been a rightwing extremist because he had issues with the federal government. The media also blamed the shooting spree by Jerry Kane and his son, earlier this year in Arkansas, as being carried out by rightwing nut cases. Sure, some of these killers can be rightwing extremist, but this behavior is not condoned by any legitimate conservative organization. The correct classification for these individuals is mentally disturbed, not rightwing extremists.

Ironically, the progressive media barely covered the Huntsville Alabama shooting spree by Amy Bishop, a proclaimed liberal. Bishop had previously been exonerated in a shooting that killed her brother and a pipe bomb incident at her place of employment. The media also failed to report on a pipe bomb explosion at the home of an executive for an oil company in Houston Texas. Surely, this was not the work of a rightwing nut job, but a leftwing nut job. It is also interesting how the left has failed to classify the 2009 Fort Hood shooting as a terrorist attack, but instead, a man made disaster. Another example was the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel headquarters. This crime was carried out by an unhappy environmentalist. Fringe elements exist on both sides – they are not isolated to conservative individuals or organizations.

Another thing that is lost in the left’s attempts to paint conservatives as violent nut jobs: Crime statistics for the United States. Since 1991 all forms of crime has been going down. Overall, crime was down 5.5% from just last year alone. Murders dropped by 7 percent from last year and by 45% since 1991. Property crime was down 4.9%, robbery was down 8.1%, and auto theft was down 17.2%. And what makes these statistics even more powerful is that they are declining during a recession. In the past, crime rates tend to rise during recessions. After all, people without money and work can become desperate and resort to crime. So, if the right is vehemently angry about having a black president, where is all that rightwing violence? And please explain why the rise of the extreme Tea Party movement has not correlated to more violence? The answer is simple; a racist, violent, and bigoted rightwing extremist movement is nothing more than a figment of a progressive’s imagination. It is nothing more than a fear mongering tactic. Increased rightwing violence is a conspiracy theory created from a few isolated incidents. This imaginary story is no different than how the left has brainwashed scores of people into believing an isolated heat wave is global warming. The progressive movement has mastered the art of lying and deceiving the American public. Also, one would suspect that the suicide rate go up if there are so many disturbed people who are unhappy with government and who have fallen on hard times during a recession. But once again, suicide statistics have remained unchanged.

The moral of the story: When someone is using fear mongering or making outlandish claims, do not take their word. Instead, investigate the allegations and prove the validity of the claims to yourself. It is easy for one to conclude that the only reason people use fear mongering or outlandish claims, such as racism to make a point, is because they do not have a valid argument to defend their dreamt up hypothesis.
